Who is Des O’Connor?

I’m Des O’Connor, an award-winning entrepreneur, business coach, and international speaker who has dedicated my career to creating women business experts worldwide, empowering them to lead, and inspiring them to speak on stage. My journey began in 1997 as a driving instructor, but life’s challenges led me to discover my true passion—helping others achieve their potential through personal and professional development.

Over the years, I have been honoured with numerous accolades, including the 2013 Relationship Coach of the Year by the Association for Professional Coaches, Trainers, and Consultants (APCTC). I’ve helped hundreds of individuals succeed in their relationships, leading to successful marriages, families, and personal fulfillment.

My work spans across various domains, from founding Social Media Marketing Events and the UK’s largest Dating and Relationship Conferences, to creating the Des O’Connors Catwalk Auditions Fashion Show. My most significant achievement, however, is the launch of Women In Business/Empowerment Events, where I’ve become the UK’s No.1 consultant for creating women business experts. Through these events, I’ve empowered hundreds of professionals to shine on stage and establish themselves as authorities in their fields.

As an international speaker, I’ve shared my insights at conferences across the UK, Romania, Spain, Dubai, the U.S., and beyond. My expertise in social media marketing, digital marketing, and business consulting has helped numerous clients globally, enabling them to achieve remarkable success.

But what matters most to me is the fulfillment that comes from making a positive difference in my clients’ lives. I’m passionate about building a stronger community of entrepreneurs and business leaders, and I believe in the transformative power of education and personal development.After noticing the lack of female representation in speaker line-ups at industry events, I launched the Des O’Connor Women In Business (WIB) events in 2017.

My goal was to inspire women to become business experts, create professional showreels, and expand their opportunities for international speaking gigs. Since then, I’ve put over 150 people on stage, many of them women and first-time speakers, fostering a more inclusive and expansive community for both women and men in business.

In addition to my events, I offer business consulting services to help entrepreneurs, professional speakers, coaches, and companies excel in social media marketing, digital marketing, webinar marketing, book launches, and more. My latest focus is on using AI to digitalise book chapters, enabling authors to generate income effortlessly.
